Welcome to our little corner of the internet! We’re the Drew family—Amanda, Darren, and our three tiny travel companions: Blakely (4), JR (3), and Greyson (1). We’re a family of five learning how to explore the world together, one adventure (and snack break) at a time.

Traveling with kids wasn’t always part of the plan—but somewhere between sleepless nights, sticky fingers, and realizing how fast childhood flies by, we decided we didn’t want to wait for “someday.” We wanted now. Now is messy. Now is loud. Now is magical. So we pack up the stroller, the diapers, the car seats, and a whole lot of patience, and we go.

This blog is about real-life family travel. Not the perfectly posed photos (though we love a good sunset pic), but the behind-the-scenes moments too—the meltdowns in airport terminals, the joy of seeing the world through our kids’ eyes, and the memories that somehow make all the chaos worth it. We believe you don’t have to stop traveling when you have kids—you just travel differently.

Blakely is our curious, big-hearted oldest who asks a million questions and notices everything. JR is our fearless middle child, always ready to climb, run, and dive headfirst into adventure. And Greyson, our baby, is along for the ride with his easy smiles and wide-eyed wonder. Together, they remind us to slow down, stay present, and find joy in the small moments—whether that’s a new playground, a beach sunset, or ice cream after a long day of exploring.

You’ll find tips for traveling with young kids, destination ideas that work for families, honest reflections on parenting on the road, and encouragement for anyone wondering if family travel is “worth it.” (Spoiler: for us, it absolutely is.) We’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and what we’re still figuring out—because we’re learning as we go, just like everyone else.
