Taking our first Disney trip as a family of five with three kids under four felt equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Adding grandparents to the mix made it extra special—and honestly, extra helpful. From flying out of Logan Airport to magical days at the parks, this trip gave us memories we’ll never forget.
✈️ Travel Day: Logan to Orlando
Flying with three little ones was our biggest worry, but the kids handled it better than expected. Snacks, favorite shows, and a lot of patience went a long way. Landing in Orlando felt like the official start of the magic.
We picked up our Ford Expedition Max rental, which was a lifesaver. With grandparents, car seats, strollers, and luggage, the extra space made everything easier and stress-free.
🏡 Where We Stayed: VRBO Win
Instead of staying on property, we rented a VRBO, and it was the perfect choice for our family. Having multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, and space for everyone to relax was priceless—especially with young kids who still nap and go to bed early. It gave us a calm place to recharge after busy park days.

🐷 Day 1: Peppa Pig Theme Park
We kicked off the trip with Peppa Pig Theme Park, and it was the perfect introduction for little kids. Everything is designed with toddlers and preschoolers in mind—short rides, bright colors, and minimal wait times.
The kids loved:
• Peppa’s Balloon Ride
• Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster
• The splash pad (a huge hit!)
It was a low-stress, high-smiles day that set the tone for the rest of the trip.

🏰 Day 2: Magic Kingdom
Nothing compares to seeing Magic Kingdom for the first time—especially through your kids’ eyes. From Main Street to the castle, it truly felt magical.
Our favorite moments:
• “It’s a Small World” (perfect for all ages)
• Dumbo the Flying Elephant
• Meeting characters and taking lots of photos
Having the grandparents with us meant extra hands, extra patience, and more chances for parents to take breaks when needed. We kept expectations low, took stroller breaks, and focused on enjoying the moment rather than doing everything.
⸻
🌐 Day 3: EPCOT
EPCOT was a slower-paced day, which worked well after Magic Kingdom. The kids loved:
• The Nemo ride
• Exploring the aquarium
• Seeing different sights and colors around the park
While EPCOT isn’t always thought of as a “little kid park,” we found plenty to enjoy by taking our time and letting the kids lead.

💭 Final Thoughts
Traveling to Disney with three kids under four isn’t easy—but it is worth it. Going with grandparents made the experience even more meaningful and manageable. We laughed, we were tired, and we made memories that will last forever.
Would we do it again? Absolutely—maybe after a little more sleep 😄
If you’re planning a Disney trip with young kids, our biggest advice is:
• Go slow
• Be flexible
• And enjoy the magic in the small moments
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how much you do—it’s about who you’re with.
