There’s something special about having a full year of travel to look forward to—especially when it blends family traditions, new discoveries, and a little time away just for us as parents. 2026 is shaping up to be one of those years we’ll remember for a long time.
May: Harwich Port, Massachusetts – Kicking Off with Cape Cod Charm
We’re starting the season close to home with a trip to Harwich Port. This has become one of our favorite ways to ease into summer—quiet beaches, bike rides, ice cream after dinner, and that unmistakable Cape Cod air. It’s the perfect reset after a busy spring and a gentle reminder to slow down before the bigger adventures begin.
June: A European Escape – Just Mom and Dad
In June, we’re doing something a little different: a parents-only trip to Europe. It’s been a while since we’ve traveled without the kids, and we’re equal parts excited and nostalgic about it.
Our journey will take us through:
- Milan, for its energy, fashion, and incredible food
- Portofino, where we’re dreaming of colorful harbors and seaside relaxation
- Monaco, for a touch of glamour and coastal views
- Paris, to end the trip with classic cafés, long walks, and a bit of romance
This trip is about reconnecting, exploring at our own pace, and soaking in places we’ve always wanted to experience together.
July: Martha’s Vineyard – Our Annual Tradition
July brings us back to one of our most cherished family traditions: Martha’s Vineyard. There’s something comforting about returning to the same place each year—the kids know the routines, we have our favorite spots, and it feels like a true home away from home.
Lazy beach days, bike rides, fresh seafood, and evenings that stretch just a little longer than usual—it’s summer exactly the way we like it.
August: Maine – A New Coastal Adventure
We’re wrapping up the summer in Maine, a destination that’s a bit newer for us but already something we’re excited about. Rugged coastline, boat trips, and that peaceful Maine atmosphere make it the perfect way to wind down before the school year returns.
It’s a chance to explore somewhere different while still holding onto that familiar New England summer feel we love so much.
Looking Ahead
What makes this year especially meaningful is the balance—time together as a family, time as a couple, and a mix of tradition and new experiences. Travel, for us, isn’t just about where we go—it’s about how those places shape our memories and bring us closer.
Here’s to a year of sandy feet, new cities, family laughter, and unforgettable moments.
